Aamna Sharif is one of the well-known actresses of the TV industry. The actress has done many Bollywood films along with leaving her mark on TV. After TV and Bollywood, Aamna Sharif is slowly gaining her feet on OTT. The actress’s web series ‘Adha Ishq’ has recently been streamed on Voot. Bollywood Life recently chatted with Aamna. During this interview, the actress told that how TV actors face discrimination in Bollywood and they do not get lead roles because they come from TV background. A few days ago, actresses like Hina Khan and Devoleena Bhattacharjee also talked about this.

When Aamna Sharif was asked if she faced discrimination after moving from TV to films, the actress said, “I still feel these things. I have faced discrimination. I am glad that I have gone through that journey and I don’t want to change anything anymore. But I think after doing ‘Aloo Chaat’ and ‘Ek Villain’, I could have got better offers. I still face that discrimination even though things have changed.’

Aamna also revealed how she was thrown out of a project even after giving auditions and lock tests. She said, ‘I auditioned and did a look test for a particular character and the makers liked me. Although I cannot get this offer because I come from TV background. This is a very wrong thing and I think there is a need to change the mindset. People should like an actor as an actor and things should be finalized by looking at his background.
