Many biopics are being made in Bollywood and one of them is Adivi Shesh starrer film ‘Major’. This biopic is of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. Adivi Sesh is making her Bollywood debut with this film. Apart from them, Sai Manjrekar, Shobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj and Revathi are in the lead roles in the film. So is this the perfect tribute to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan? Let us know in this review.

What is the story of the film?
Sandeep Unnikrishnan is one of the martyrs and heroes who were involved in the 26/11 attacks of Mumbai. He was a part of NSG and his entire life has been told in the film Major. Sandeep had seen a navy parade in his childhood and was determined that he would become a naval officer but luck had something else in his favor and he became an army officer. The film shows Sandeep’s bond with his parents and his romantic side and most of all his love for the country and his duty as a soldier is shown in the film.

What’s great in the film?
The drama, emotion and actions are perfect in the film. It is not a docu-drama but a complete commercial film. Adivi Sesh himself has written the story and screenplay of this film. While Shashi Kiran Tikki has narrated the story. Sesh and Tikka start the film slowly but the pace picks up later, especially when their army training is shown. The pre-interval sequence and climax of the film is quite high. Climax will give you goosebumps. The action of the film is very well choreographed and the background music of the film is amazing.

Adivi Sesh has played the role of Sandeep Unnikrishnan very well. He is completely immersed in the character and he looks quite handsome in the uniform. Prakash Raj and Revathi have also played the role of Sandeep’s parents very well and you will also like Shobhita Dhulipala.

Where is the shortage?
Saiee Manjrekar disappoints in the film. You will not like his performance. This is the third film of the actress. He needs to work on his acting skills. Even the romantic track between Sandeep and Isha will not be liked much. The reason behind this is that the chemistry between Sai and Adivi does not look good. Romantic scenes could have been shortened. But the makers have shown it with emphasis because it was an important part of Sandeep’s life. But yes, if there was good chemistry between the two, then this complaint would not have happened.

So overall the film is excellent and can be watched comfortably. We are giving the film 5 to 3.5 stars.
